After writing an amazing optimized real estate blog post, whether it’s about a local event, news topic, lifestyle, buyer/seller tip, market report or whatever, you can amp it up for more usability and search engine placement by adding a few additional components.
Adding a Custom MLS Drops to SEO Blog Posts
If you have a self-hosted blogging system like WordPress and an IDX solution, you can add even more SEO and usability to your posts by dropping the entire MLS search down the bottom of your post rather than simply adding a link from a custom property search page.
We have found that the best SEO/usability delivery for property search is adding optimized content to those pages or incorporating custom property search directly into SEO blog posts as a MLS drop rather than a link.
Here are some examples of MLS added to posts:

Adding Google Maps for Geo-targeted SEO
Whenever applicable, I highly recommend adding a Google map to your blog post for geo-targeted SEO. Google wants you to use its own content and yes, Google maps are in iframe, which opens up a a huge debate about how Google reads iframes. Be asured that Google reads it’s own content and only an idiot would thing that Google doesn’t consider itself as an “authority.” Every iframe has a link to the content that is supposed to be displayed within iframe. That is what Google is reading whether you have the “actual map” displayed within your post or not.
